Hello Everyone!

I love nature! It’s so nice to look at the various landscapes around the world. I wish nature liked me. Allergies are the devil, I tell you. So when I’m feeling like appreciating nature in all its glory, I tend to look for a man that is in tune with it. Kinda like this guy.

Or maybe even this one.

Is it hot in here? Or is it just him? Haha.

Another thing I like to do–after loading up on the allergy meds– is to find someplace serene, grab my Kindle, and read.

Need something to read? On top of the book I donated to the Nook and the book I donated as a prize for the bloghop, I will also pick two comments from this post and those people will receive their choice from my back list in electronic format. Gotta keep it green! ๐Ÿ˜€

Also, keep a look out for my upcoming Ellora’s Cave release, Seductive Reunion. I should have a release date for it soon. ๐Ÿ™‚

So, what do you like to do to celebrate Earth Day?

Best wishes,

Virginia Cavanaugh

  1. I try to be green all year round by recycling and driving a fuel efficient car. I don;t do much to actually celebrate the day.

  2. We just try and take time go for a walk, or just sit outside in the backyard and enjoy the day, maybe putter around in the flower beds.

  3. I like to go for a hike. Somewhere in the woods, away from people, just the trees and fresh air to clear my head. Hmm… come to think of it, I should do that more often.

Happy Earth Day! Great to see you on the Hop circuit again =)

  4. I have a little note on my fridge that says “Use it up, wear it out, make it do, do without.” Not wasting what we have is easier than trying to scrounge from the ashes, right? Thank you for the cool images – and imagery.

  5. I like to go somewhere quiet, with a good book and read. Usually I have to take a couple books because with no one to bother me the books just seem to get gobbled up.

  6. Beautiful scenery to celebrate the day!! My family bought a windowbox and we’re going to plant seeds in it to celebrate!

  7. Great pics! I’m planning to do some spring cleaning and yard work this weekend and maybe go for a bike ride. Happy Earth Day!

  8. My family does beach clean up day. It’s amazing what people throw in our waterways that make it to the Pacific Ocean.

  9. This year we are planting some trees to replace ones that were lost in the May tornado. We are also going to put up a couple of birdhouses for our feathered friends. Have a happy Earth Day.

  11. I love finding a quite place to read. What I’ve noticed at my house though is that children that have disappeared to avoid being told to do something useful or finish their schoolwork suddenly appear when I step out for a bit of fresh air and quiet. You’d think they’d stop when I start to give them things to do.

  12. Whenever Earth Day rolls around, it reminds me to get started with flowers and any vegetables. So typically that’s the day I start to organize what’s going to get planted and where.

Of course, if that first guy was leaning up against a tree outside my house, I might just spend the day admiring him! I mean, that can count as celebrating Earth Day. Well at least that’s what I choose to believe!

    Thanks!

  13. Happy Earth Day! Thanks for the giveaways.
We will be cleaning up the front yard (triming the bushes and pick up any trash), then a picnic at the park so Colin, my 2 yr old grandson, can swing swing swing!!!

  14. For us it is getting in touch with nature. We visit parks all year round, not just earth day. We take bag to pick up trash as we walk any trails. You have to take care of your environment as well as recycle too.

  15. We celebrate an unplugged day. No tv, no laundry, no driving. We plan to ride our bikes to the park for a family picnic.

  16. I don’t really do anything special, just continue with the things I do like reading ebooks, using reusable water bottles & shopping bags, trying to reuse/recycle/repurpose as much as possible, using florescent type light bulbs, etc.
